Skype has long been the go-to method for remote conference calls. While Apple announced a similar featured named in June, that feature has been postponed to a later date. However, Skype is looking to take its VOIP service one step further. It announced today that call recording will now be available via all of its platforms, aside from Windows 10. The feature was earlier this year.
To start a recording, tap the + sign and then tap “Start recording”. This will work on both desktop and mobile. In terms of privacy, a banner will appear at the top of the screen, alerting users that they are being recorded. Recording will be available in the group chat for 30 days. During this period, anyone from the call will be able to save the recording locally or share it to other Skype contacts. Learn more about the feature.
